Beauty Guide | Spring Perfumes

One of the easiest ways to set the mood is with perfume and with each season and I make it a ritual to pick out new choices to wear. Like the unpredictable spring showers, I tend to gravitate towards lighter and slightly aquatic scents that compliments the new flower blossoms and yes even a bit of drizzle.

ETERNITY MOMENT | Calvin Klein
Delicate, soft, sheer and romantic. A much more feminine version of their classic perfume, Eternity Moment is the first spring buds releasing it's fragrance in the still crisp air. The most prominent notes are jasmine and pink peony with a touch of light must and wood, something that wears close to the skin and like to play hide and seek with anyone who comes close.
----------
Notes: Litchi, pomegranate blossom, water lily, Chinese pink peony, guava, musk and woody notes.

CURIOUS | Britney Spears
Playful, fresh and aquatic with just enough of a flower note, Curious was a blind buy on one of my drugstore escapades and a complete surprise at that. Expecting something sugary and sweet, this is actually light and very versatile. With notes of magnolia and tuberose swirled with a touch of vanilla and musk, this pretty fragrance lingers nicely on the skin as well as clothes.
----------
Notes: Fresh lotus, mouthwatering pear, magnolia, tuberose, jasmine, pink cyclamen, musk, vanilla and precious woods.

PARISIENNE | Yves Saint Laurent
For those with a soft spot for sweets, I think spring is the perfect (and possibly the only tolerant weather) to wear it. The still lightly chilly air tones down the headiness of sugar scents like this damascus rose and blackberry concotion. While this is not my usual style, I can see the appeal of Parisienne if fruity berries are what you're lusting after a cold dreary winter. This is downright a sweet blackberry tart with a slightly more mysterious dry down of vetiver, must and sandalwood.
----------
Notes: Damascus rose, blackberry, violet, peony, cranberry, patchouli, vetiver, musk and sandalwood, vinyl and lacquer.
