Maybelline FIT-me Foundation & Powder

Hi Everyone,

I FINALLY got a hold of the Maybelline's FIT-ME line. It has been released in the United States much sooner than here and all the ads in the magazines have really been getting me all excited!

Maybelline FIT-ME Line

The line comes with colour groups for different intensity of skintones, each with their matching blush, bronzer, foundation, concealer and powder. The colours in each group are meant to perfectly enhance and compliment each groups skintone.

Let's jump in first with the video!

Maybelline FIT-ME Foundation

FIT-ME FOUNDATION
  • Come with extra SPF18 (still put on your regular sunscreen though!)
  • Sheer (fingers) to medium (brush) coverage
  • Creamy and glides over skin, spreads very easily
  • Glowly finish that is very natural
  • Feels hydrating and doesn't catch on flakes
  • Not very long lasting; good for dry-normal-slightly/oily skin
  • Not good for oily skin.
  • No breakouts or irritations.

Here's my before/after swatch. The glow isn't very visible in photographs but you can definitely tell in real life. Its just a slight sheen that is more than a satin finish.....more like the MUFE Face & Body foundation in this aspect.

*Covered up some redness on my cheeks and unified skintone.

    Now lets see about the...
    FIT-ME POWDER!

Not sure how I feel about the packaging but I do think its wonderful that they are creating a seperate compartment for your puff! No more icky puffs! While its not as convenient as having the mirror right on top of the powder, I still think this an improvement.

    Maybelline FIT-ME Powder Ingredients

While this is a talc based powder (and you can defintely tell when you touch it) and having a heavy feel at first, it very quickly melts in with the foundation and becomes undetectable. Albiet not the finest that I have used, it IS probably the best I have encountered so far in a drugstore powder compact.

    • LOVE the minimal ingredients (none of the extra fancy stuff you don't need)
    • Mattes out foundation on contact but not cakey, no flaking or dryness.
    • Apply with powder brush then press-in with puff for flawless look!
    • Can be reapplied without the look of build-up.
    • Works well with the foundation to give you a glowly or soft matte look, which ever one you like!
    • No breakouts or reactions.

Have you tried this one yet?
Hope this gave you some ideas on whether or not its right for you.
